Girls' getaway to Ojai
Mike had to attend a conference in Pasadena, so Chris and our daughters decided to spend some time together at a spa in Ojai, California. One morning, they took a hike and the highlight was encountering an owl, probably a great horned owl.

you should mention that the owl looks pissed because Lynn got too close for comfort and it had to make angry faces at her.
Owls just generally have disagreeable faces. That's why I get on with them so well. That and my proclivity for spitting up mouse bones.
